YSRCP dharnas on YS Jagan\'s arrest day

Following completing one year in jail by the YSR Congress Party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy on May 27, the party on Wednesday sought police permission to organize protest demonstrations and rallies against the 'illegal' arrest of Jagan on the same day across the state.
 
Party senior leaders Janak Prasad and Putta Pratap Reddy submitted a memorandum to Director General of Police (DGP) V Dinesh Reddy and urged him to permit the party to hold rallies against the arrest of their party leader.
 
Party leaders said that the police official responded positively to their request and assured to give instructions to district police officials to all the party organize dharnas and rallies. They alleged that Jagan was arrested on 'flimsy' ground to demoralize him and weaken him politically. Jagan emerged as strong leader with the support of people in the state. Nobody will beat YSR party in the next general election, they added.
