Story
Anil (Sumanth Ashwin) is a guy from Rajamundry. He wants to fall in love with an urban girl. He comes to Hyderabad and enamored by the charms of a girl Ananya (Eesha) who makes greetings and artwork. Eesha's parents (Madhubala and Ravi Babu) are going through marital crisis. On the other hand, Anil doesn't like his mother's attitude of shopping constantly. So when they fall in love, they want to test their compatibility to ensure that they don't end up a couple like their respective parents. Thus begins the drama.

Analysis

Before marriage life is colorful. After wedding, life turns monotonous and dull, for many. Where has gone all the love? Wouldn't it be good if lovers have the option of seeing a sort of trailer of how their life would turn out after marriage? So, Anil and Ananya think of living together for two months as husband and wife without getting married. From this line, the director Indraganti Mohanakrishna weaves a matured love story with a slice of life moments laced with meaningful, witty dialogues. Many of the scenes are quite relatable.

Films made on the concept of lovers living together for a few days to test their 'compatibility' are not new to Telugu audiences. What makes Anthakumundu Aa Taruvatha (AMAT) is different is the way the director has handled the movie. He makes us laugh in some scenes, makes us our eyes go wet in the climax sequences, and more importantly doesn't insult our intelligence. And the film is not just about these two young lovers, also about the life of their parents, and their problems.

The performances of the actors, the music, the dialogues, and cinematography all are perfectly blended to the story. It is also very soothing film, doesn't fall into commercial gimmicks. The director has shown so much maturity in handling of the movie.
On the downside, the film's pace slackens in post interval scenes and goes off from the main track before climax. The emotional sequences in the climax bring back us into it. Also has many predictable scenes in the second half.

Performances

Sumanth Ashwin has improved a lot compared to his debut movie. His dialogue deliver is good. He has shown so much maturity in his performance. The new girl Eesha is good find. She is also very natural in her acting. She is typical urban Telugu girl. In, love stories more than the actors, chemistry is important. The pair has achieved it.

Among other actors, Madhubala (Roja fame) as a woman who sacrificed her life for family suppressing her acting dreams steals the show. Rao Ramesh showcases what a good actor he is in the second half.Rohini, Ravi Babu and Jhansi are perfect to their characters. Avasarala Srinivas in a brief role is quite effective and provides good laughs with his witty marks.

Cinematography by P G Vinda is very good. Kalyani Koduri's (aka Kalyani Malik) music is very appealing and melodious. Ye Inti Ammayive O Aliveni, Gammathuga Unnadi, Tamari Thone, are best of the picks. Art direction is neat and also has rich production values. Editing should have been crispier.

It is director Indraganti Mohan Krishna who should get all appreciation because he has excelled as writer as well as director. As a dialogue writer, he is back in form. Looks like he is good at telling urban romantic dramas.

Final word- Must watch movie, dont miss it good message to every individual (either married or unmarried)

Rating: 4/5
