Direction-Darling Swamy Cast-Prince,Manasa,Dimple Producers-SKN and Srinivasa Rao Presented by-Maruthi Banner-Good Cinema Group Music-Sai Kartik Cinematography-J.Prabhakar Reddy Story Krishna (Prince), a freelance ad maker starts telling his love story when he was forced to do so by a rowdy. Krishna (Prince) a second year student in his search for a virgin girl comes into touch with Lalitha aka Lola (Manasa). However they breakup due to turn of events and Prince meets Anuradha (Dimple). He again tries to find out whether she is a virgin and in the process ends up getting tested over his flirtations by girls in a ladies hostel. How it happened and what is the connection to the rowdy and what process Krishna followed to test the virginty of girls should be enjoyed on silver screen. Performance Prince suited as a romantic lover boy. He should improve upon his emotions. But he makes up for all this with his charming looks. Manasa performed well and Dimple lokked cute. Both got good roles to perform but both came flat in action.Sai,Venu and others did well in their roles. Analysis Darling Swamy planned to add Maruthi's "A" style to his dialogue strength to score success at the box office. Though it worked out in some adult comedy dialogues, while coming to screen play and direction, Darling Swamy failed the expectations. Slow pace of the film, weak screen play and amateur direction are the main drawbacks of the film. One gets a feeling that several censor cuts undid the film. While the first half is ok with some college scenes, second half tested the patience with outdated scenes in hostel and routine comedy track. Some dialogues like “Romance cheyadaniki ammayi, Pranam theyadaniki gun unte prapancham gelicheyochu “ and Swamy's creative comedy using Mahesh,Pawan and Chiranjeevi's tunes worked out well. However the film dearly missed Bus Stop and Ee Rojullo flavour. Darling Swamy known for his dialogue power this time depended on Maruthi's adult entertainment to come with youthful Romance. The film's story is routine and though Maruthi's trademark comedy and some creative dialogues worked out, slow pace of the film and directionless dialogues undid the film. Even adult comedy like in the Bus Stop and Ee Rojullo was missing and this was felt as the second half dragged towards the climax. Weak screenplay and directionless direction undid the film. Final Word - Tried to make the movie like Ee Rojullo but Failed Rating-2/5 ...(More..) |
