Vijayashanti gets more remuneration than chiru and NBK

Vijayashanti claimed that she is much biggest star than Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna . "I was paid Rs 1 crore as remuneration in 1990 itself. Post 'Karthavyam', the amount I charged is much more that offered to Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. I even made it to the headlines of a National tabloid which wrote I was the highest paid female actor in the country and stands only next to Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth if the gender clause is removed. Isn't that an achievement?," questing the actress.  Notably, Vijayashanti's film 'Karthavyam' (1990) which was based on real-life story of tough cop Kiran Bedi is a blockbuster and it was this film that took her popularity to a next level. She won National Film Award from Indian Government and also Nandi Award for the category Best Actress. In fact, she was only the third woman to win National Award for Best Actress from Tollywood till then. At that time, Producers were ready to pay her any amount to rope her for their projects and she followed the adage 'make hay while the sun shines' to outshine Tollywood superstars Chiru and Balayya.  Vijayashanti inspired many with her daring nature and also achieved top star status in a male-dominated Film Industry. She completed 49 years yesterday
